Sublette County

The cost of living in Sublette County has been
increasing Since 2000, the year the State of
Wyoming's
Department of Administration and
Information Economic Analysis Division began
tabulating the figure. Except for national data, all
Cost of Living data is from the State of Wyoming.  
State officials who travel to each county and
investigate costs associated with six different
categories of needs.

On average, it costs about 16% more to live in
Sublette County than the rest of Wyoming. If
Teton County is removed from the State average,
it costs about 21% more to live in Sublette than
elsewhere in Wyoming.

As the bar graphs at right illustrate, the cost of
housing is among the most expensive items in
Sublette County.  Housing rentals and sales are
about 25% more expensive then the Wyoming
Average. If Teton county is removed from the
state average (as housing costs there are among
the highest in the United States), housing in
Sublette County is about 35% higher than the rest
of the state.

Wyoming as a Whole

The Cost of living in the state of Wyoming as a
whole is above average when compared to the
United States, and is higher than any neighboring
state. On average, it costs about 3% more to live
in Wyoming than the rest of the United States.  
Housing costs about 11% more.
