Population Projections for Sublette County 2005-2030 are summarized Here.
U.S. Census Population Estimates:

2007: County Grew 9.4% in 2007. 5th Fastest in the Nation.
Sublette County's population grew by 9.4% between 2006 and 2007,
according to new estimates released by the U.S. Census Bureau.  The
bureau now estimates Sublette County's population to be 7,925
permanent residents as of July of 2007, up 684 residents from July of
2006.

The Census Bureau works with state agencies to use construction
trends, birth/death rates, and other indicators to reach the
estimates, which do not include the thousands of temporary or seasonal
workers commuting from outside the county or living in the county's
motels or man-camps.  Estimates for cities and towns are typically not
available until late spring.

This is likely the largest one-year population jump in the county's
history, in terms of both a percentage increase and a net influx.
Year-to-year growth had averaged about 4% between 2000 and 2006, with
an increase of 5.25% between 2005 and 2006.  Since the 2000 census,
the county has grown by 34%, adding about 2000 new residents over the
7 year period.

Sublette County was the 5th  fastest growing county among the more
than 3,000 counties in the nation between 2006 and 2007.  The county
was also the second fastest growing county west of the Mississippi
River, and the fastest growing county with a population under 19,000.
Each year, the Census Bureau puts out a report on the fastest growing
counties in the nation that only looks at counties with a population
greater than 10,000 – however when all counties are considered,
Sublette ranks 5th in growth between July of 2006 and July of 2007.

Sublette County again led the state in population increases, with
Campbell County the second highest at a 5.1% jump since 2006.
Sweetwater County showed a 3.4% increase. Wyoming's population as a
whole increased by 2%.

2006:
Sublette County's permanent population grew by 5.7% between 2005 and 2006,
according to estimates released by the U.S. Census Bureau. This year-to-year
population jump of 394 new residents is by far the biggest in the county's recent history,
if not the largest jump of all time. The county had been growing in the lower 4% range
each year since about 2001.

This means that the county's resident population has grown about 25% since 2000,
adding 1440 new people since that time. In other words, about 1 out of 5 of your
neighbors has moved here since 2000.

The town of Pinedale led growth in the county, as it grew about 11% between 2005 and
2006, adding 188 people. The town has grown by 30% since 2000.  The unincorporated
portions of Sublette County also continued to grow quickly, also adding 188 people.

The Census estimates do not include so-called "transient" or rotational workers, but
instead focus on permanent residents by examining new building construction, driver's
license exchange numbers, and other factors, and the estimates are considered to be
relatively accurate in counting permanent residents. As many as 2000 additional non-
resident workers are in the county at any given time, depending on the level of gas field
activity.

Sublette County led the state in permanent population increase for the 3rd straight year,
with Campbell county coming in second with a 4% population increase. Sweetwater
county dropped to a 2% increase, but still adding 744 new residents. Sublette County
grew from 6965 residents in July, 2005, to 7359 residents in July, 2006, according to
the US Census Bureau.  State-wide county breakdowns are
available here.

except during the actual census, every ten years.

The census estimates take into account building statistics, birth/death rates, drivers license
renewals, and a number of other indicators. For more information on the Census Estimates,
